Cold Weather Deployment Guide

Updated Jun 10, 2026 · 7 min read

Cold-weather deployments flip the rules: now chocolate survives the trip, but you're fighting frozen fingers and dry, cracked skin. Send warmth and comfort.

What to send

Watch out for freezing

Liquids and gels can freeze and burst — keep them sealed in bags. The upside: chocolate and other melty treats travel just fine in the cold.

A quick OPSEC reminder

Avoid sharing sensitive deployment locations, unit movements, or dates — online or on the package. When in doubt, keep it general.
